SACSC Annual Congress is coming

One of the most highly anticipated events on the South African shopping centre and retail calendar is fast approaching – the SACSC Annual Congress.

This event will see world class speakers, industry leaders, more than 500 companies being represented, insights and networking all taking place in one of the most beautiful cities in the world – Cape Town. This year’s theme encapsulates everything the retail and shopping centre represents. The theme for the 2017 SACSC Annual Congress is ‘One’ which celebrates an industry that is collectively individual.

Chief Executive Officer for the South African Council of Shopping Centres Amanda Stops said that this year’s event would focus on personalisation, innovation and an experience that emphasises being ‘collectively individual’. “21 years ago, no one would have imagined that this event would become what it is today. More than 1500 delegates over three action-packed days, topical speakers, insightful information, presentations and networking. The SACSC Annual Congress is an event not to be missed,” she said

Renowned television personalities Janez Vermeiren and Lunga Tshabalala will host the event which will see South Africa’s very own Olympic Gold Medalist Wayde Van Niekerk and his esteemed coach Ansa Botha take to the stage and share their story of how two worlds collided resulting in their world-record-breaking success.

Head of Digital Platforms for FNB Business Banking, Anton van Metzinger; Chief Executive Officer for Capitec Bank, Gerrie Fourie; Head of Group Real Estate Services and Retail for the Standard Bank Group, Nitesh Patel and Head of Networking Planning & Placement for ABSA Rudi Posthumus will be a part of a panel-discussion focusing on banking in the future. The SACSC Annual Congress has become an event that not only brings up-to-date information and industry networking, it also celebrates the country’s retail, shopping centre and associated industries.
